CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations on your new piece of furniture, and thankyou for supporting local design.
Below are a few simple care instructions to ensure that your furniture stays looking beautiful for many years to come.

When dusting timber surfaces, ensure to use either a soft cotton or microfiber cloth and wipe in the direction of the grain to avoid micro scratches that can dull the finish.

Ensure that food and liquid spills are cleaned up immediately with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth dampened with warm water. Dry well with a clean and dry cloth after cleaning. For heavier soiling, a neutral diluted detergent can be used (such as sensitive dish soap). Do not use harsh or solvent-based cleaners.

Timber, being a natural material, will always have its own unique characteristics. Expect slight colour changes through exposure to sunlight, and timber expansion through changes in humidity and temperature. Because of this, avoid over exposure to direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes as the timber may react unexpectedly.

Deep scratches and gouges can be repaired, but please contact us (via the details above) for further advice and assistance before proceeding with a repair.

Osmo Timber Finish

Osmo Poly-X Oil is a durable, food-safe, low VOC, low maintenance hard-wax finish. If ever necessary, it can be spot repaired as needed. It requires minimal maintenance; however if the timber is looking dull and dry, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner to rejuvenate it.

2K Polyurethane Timber Finish

Generally speaking, 2K Polyurethane is a very durable and hardwearing finish. Small scratches can be repaired with a suitable paste wax. If heavy damage is present, it is fairly labour intensive to repair, and usually results in the entire component needing to be removed and refinished. No ongoing maintenance is necessary if good cleaning practices are adhered to.

Fabric Upholstery

Treat spills and stains on fabric as soon as possible by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not scrub as this can alter the fabric’s appearance. To avoid discoloration and maintain longevity of your fabric we recommend keeping your furniture out of direct sunlight.

Leather Upholstery

Treat all stains initially with a soft cloth moistened in clean water. If absolutely necessary, spots can be wiped with a very mild soapy solution. Wipe loose cushions separately and make sure that the water is equally distributed among the surface. After drying, polish with a soft dry cloth. The entire surface of the leather should be covered in order to prevent blotches.
